Two-Day Country Crossroads Education of Yesterday Farm Show Celebrated 16th Year with Great Turnout and Beautiful Weather

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic it is a bit of a challenge to find something to do as a family that will allow for a safe socially distanced experience but still offers something fun and unique…especially for free. The Country Crossroads Education of Yesterday Farm Show was the perfect event for these trying times.

The event was held on what turned out to be a beautiful sunny and warm weekend, October 17-18 at Country Crossroads (3685 Cass Irish Ridge Road).

Although some adjustments had to be made to follow health and safety guidelines, the heart of the show was still the same. There were a plethora of tractors, trucks, equipment, fire trucks, construction machinery, and so much more to see and in some cases try.

Train rides and a real digger that kids can operate makes the show very interactive for kids. Both only cost a dollar. Demonstrations using hay balers, corn shellers, and other equipment took place in the afternoons, and machinery and tractors were driven around the farm on occasion throughout the day.

The show is organized and operated by the Moore Family. The event was founded by the late Kenny Moore, Jr. who had a passion for farm equipment because of growing up on a farm himself. He also ran a farm machinery business in Dresden for many years. His motto was “think and L.E.R.M.”. L.E.R.M. is an acronym that can be seen around the show it stands for life, education, responsibilities, and memory.

Each year the farm show gets better. We are excited to see what is in store for next year’s show!
