Dawgs Chewed Up The Redskins on Senior Night

Tri-Valley boys varsity basketball team took on the Coshocton Redskins at Coach Rich Longaberger Court on Tuesday, January 5th, and although it was a tough battle, in the end, the Dawgs took the 57-46 victory bringing their record to 4-5 overall and 4-2 in the MVL.

The Scotties started off the night strong and never looked back as they outsized the competition and pushed ahead to lead the first quarter 12 – 8.

In the second, the Dawgs 6′-3″ Senior Jakob Frueh put up eight points and helped pump up the lead over the Redskins to 27 – 17 at the halftime break.

After the intermission, the Scotties didn’t let up the heat with Frueh firing off another 7 points while the Dawgs held the Redskins back rolling the score to a high of 41 points going into the 4th quarter.

Erik Neal had 10 points in the fourth quarter for Tri-Valley helping to secure the victory and locking down the final score of 57 – 46 against Coshocton. The lead scorers for the night were Jakob Frueh with 17 points, Erik Neal with 12, Luke Lyall had 10 points, Jalen Goins-Chandler and Ty Smith each had 7 points. The win put the Scotties at 4-5 overall and 4-2 in the MVL.
