Obituary: Dorotha I Graham

Dorotha I. Graham, 83, of Dresden, Ohio died Saturday morning, January 9, 2021 at The Laurels of Heath Care Center in Heath, Ohio.

Born November 10, 1937 in Marietta, Ohio she was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Julia Ruth (Oliver) Denton and was a 1956 graduate of Marietta High School. She proudly served our country as a member of United States Marine Corp from 1959 to 1960. Dorotha was a member of Washington Township Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Toni (Todd Wyler) Treadway of Coshocton, Ohio, Melissa Acheson of Dresden and Julie (Jim Snider) Graham of Nashport, Ohio; six grandchildren, Tony Moorehead, Jackie Johnson, Jennifer Acheson, Rebecca Bird, Alesa Treadway and Chloe Snider and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Anna Hall of Vienna, West Virginia and Linda Smith of Grove City, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Graham, whom she married July 20, 1968 and who died March 9, 1990; two brothers, Jon Denton and Jimmy Denton; two sisters, Betty Erb and Mary Elizabeth Lyons and a son-in-law, David Acheson.

Calling hours were held from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Private family funeral services were held with Pastor Chris Riggs officiating.

Dorotha was be laid to rest beside her husband, Coleman, in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
