Dresden Family Health Center Help to Administer COVID-19 Vaccine to 160 People at Drive-Through Clinic

The Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department has been holding vaccination clinics with help from area health care professionals.

The Dresden Family Health Center was able to help to administer shots during the February 4 drive-through clinic at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.

Other volunteers helped to make the clinic a success including three retired RNs, a retired nurse practitioner, and a retired physician.

Anna Purkey, owner and primary care provider for Dresden Familly Health Center said that one of her homebound patients was able to get vaccinated at the clinic. “There are many wheelchair/homebound people who may be inspired to follow through with their vaccination knowing that the Muskingum Health Department offers a welcoming avenue for them.”

A closed clinic will be held on February 12 at Tri-Valley High School for their staff to receive their first dose vaccination. The Dresden Family Health Center will be helping with that clinic as well.

To register to be vaccinated in the future, go to the ZMCHD website at zmchd.org; on the right-hand side click on COVID-19 Vaccine; at the top of the page click on the link COVID-19 Vaccination Registration and complete the form.
