Genesis HealthCare System is now offering COVID-19 vaccinations to those people outlined in the Ohio Department of Health’s (ODH) vaccination plan. Community members now eligible to register are those 50 years of age and older and those with select conditions and jobs regardless of age including:
• Type 2 diabetes
• End-stage renal disease
• ALS
• Bone marrow transplant recipients
• Type 1 diabetes
• Pregnant women
• Jobs in child-care services
• Jobs in funeral services industry
• Jobs in law enforcement and as corrections officers
Appointments are required. Make an appointment by going to genesishcs.org/vaccine or calling the Genesis COVID-19 Line at 740-297-8610, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The vaccines will be given at the Genesis COVID-19 Vaccination Center, 3575 Maple Ave., Zanesville, in the former Elder-Beerman location at Colony Square Mall. Those with appointments will enter the Genesis COVID-19 Vaccination Center through the exterior entrance from the parking lot on the north side of the building. It will not be accessible from inside the mall. Instructions for the vaccination will be provided when appointments are scheduled. In addition, Northside Pharmacies in Muskingum County is also administering the vaccine at the Genesis COVID-19 Vaccination Center. The registration process is the same.
