A new option for lunch and dinner is coming to Main Street, Dresden! Tim Tackett is bringing Mexican cuisine to the village with his outdoor dining cafe the Taco Cottage.
The Taco Cottage will offer beef, chicken, and pulled pork tacos in a homemade shell. You can make it a meal by adding Mexican corn on the cob or Mexican potatoes and a drink. Everything will be homemade locally. In the future, Tim plans to add Sopaipillas to the menu. Sopaipillas are a fried pastry similar to a doughnut.
Setup for the Taco Cottage is moving quickly. The cottage building is in place on Main Street at the new dining establishment’s location, 625 Main Street in Dresden (Old IGA parking lot), across from the Patio Shops. Signs, lights, and pub-style tables will be added shortly in preparation for opening day sometime the first week of May. The hours for the Taco Cottage will be 11 to 7 but they will be updated this summer.
Plans for summer corn hole tournaments and other events at the Taco Cottage are in the works.
Other exciting news for Main Street Dresden has been recently announced as well. D&D’s Deli will be opening soon at 206 Main Street. Also, the Dresden Garden Center, located on Main Street across from the Dresden Tavern and next to the Taco Cottage, will be opening for the season on April 29th!
