2021 Frazeysburg Homecoming Held June 17 – 19

There was an amazing turnout at Thursday’s kick-off to the three-day Frazeysburg Homecoming. A kiddie parade hosted by the Lions Club was up first, followed by the introduction of the Queen and Court.

The fun will continue on Friday evening beginning at 6 p.m. when rides and vendors open. A2J Crew Dance Team will perform from 6:30 to 7 p.m., DJ Kurtus Nichols K-Sound Entertainment will be playing music from 7:30 – 10 p.m. and the evening will close with a nightly door prize raffle and 50/50 drawing at 10 p.m.

On Saturday, the final day for the 2021 Frazeysburg Homecoming, there will be the much anticipated Grand Parade at 6 p.m. (line up begins at 5:30 p.m. on North State Street). Rides and vendors will again open at 6 and the Queen and Court will be introduced again along with the Parade Marshal, Ann Cline. Later in the evening from 7:30 to 10 the band Blackhand Revival will perform followed by the final nightly raffle and 50/50.

This year’s Parade Marshal is Ann Cline. Ann has been a resident of Frazeysburg since 1997. She currently owns Fallsburg Pizza your Frazeysburg connection. In her free time, her hobbies include crocheting, sewing, and painting ceramics. What Ann likes most about living in Frazeysburg, is that she loves the people & the small-town feeling. Ann quoted “People never cease to amaze me especially when it comes to helping each other out. It’s a great feeling.” The fire department chose Ann to be the parade marshal & to lead the parade because of her continued support to the fire department. She is always asking to help and donating to the Frazeysburg fire department! Her support does not go unnoticed.

This year’s Homecoming court consists of Queen, Sierra Florian and Attendants, Sydney Swartz, and Mia Claypool.

The 2021 Queen is Sierra Florian. Sierra will be a senior this coming year at Tri-Valley high school. She is the daughter of Joe and Jamie Florian of Frazeysburg. Sierra is a very social person that never meets a stranger. Sierra loves to spend time with her friends and family. She is also employed by Olde Village Meats in Frazeysburg. After high school, she hopes to pursue a career in cosmetology and taking classes to become a volunteer firefighter and EMT. For the Homecoming, Sierra will be escorted by Skyler Miller.

Attendant Sydney Swartz will be a senior at Tri-Valley high school. She resides in Frazeysburg with her grandparents Jim and Sandy Swartz. Sydney is a member of The Tri-Valley high school marching band. She is currently employed at Whits in Zanesville. After high school, Sydney plans to attend college to become a social worker. Sydney will be escorted by Jeremy Barnett.

Attendant Mia Claypool is the daughter of Jim Claypool and Kelly Barcus of Frazeysburg. She will be a sophomore at Tri-Valley high school in the fall. Mia enjoys playing softball and spending time with her family and friends. After high school, she plans to become a pediatric nurse to fulfill her passion for caring for children. The 2021 Frazeysburg Homecoming is hosted by the Volunteers of Frazeysburg Fire-Rescue. The event is being held at the Village Square on 2nd Street in Frazeysburg.
