Tri-Valley Boys Soccer Fell To Morgan In High-Temperature Game

by Coach Keith Loughlin

The dawgs played a bruising game in severe heat Tuesday night so much so the unusual step of four water breaks were required. Although the Dawgs lost the contest 6 to 3, some very promising highlights came out of the game. In that, the level of competitive perseverance is increasing.

The notable standout effort came from Sophomore Gael Oseguera scoring two goals and maintaining high effort the entire game. The same effort was displayed by Sophomore Devin Watts with a goal scored and consistent effort the entire game.

Aspiring defensive efforts were shown by Junior Luke Wilkinson and Sophomore goalkeeper Camden Wickerham with 6 saves in the game.

The Dawgs are truly the underdogs this season with the average age and experience at the Sophomore level with our lone Senior Carter Wehrum to compete against schools that will have a Senior pool of experience 7 times our own on average.

Perseverance and experience are our watchwords as the qualities of both are enhanced over this season. With eyes looking forward we can easily say that the future looks very bright for the Dawgs for this very young team.
