Lady Dawgs Volleyball Made A Clean Sweep Of Their First MVL Matchup Of The Season Against Morgan

As we have come to expect from Coach Leigh Longaberger’s Lady Dawg varsity volleyball squad, the girls were all business as they opened the match against Morgan taking an early lead and holding the Morgan Lady Raiders to just five points in the first game. The intensity level could not be matched by the visiting Morgan team, and serve after serve put Tri-Valley that much closer to a win. By the end of the first match, the Lady Dawgs had 25 against the Lady Raiders 5 to end the game.

Morgan tried to gain ground in the second game climbing up from their dismal first game score to grab a total of 11 points in the second game but the Scotties offensive was still too much for them to handle and the Lady Dawgs took game two with a score of 25 – 11.

In a much tighter game, Morgan put up a big fight to try to leave with at least one game win for the night struggling to match the Scotties point for point and hoping to extend their stay in Dresden. They came as close as they could but coach Longaberger’s team was ready to win and they were not going to let up under any circumstance. In the end the final game went to the Scotties with a score of 25 – 21.

For the Lady Dawgs Eva Dittmar had 9 Kills, followed by Hannah King with 7 kills – 3 digs – and 3 aces, Lexi Howe came in with 5 kills – 8 digs – and an ace, Janie McLoughlin had 5 kills as well – 2 digs – and an ace, Abby Stanford had 3 kills – 11 assists – and an ace, Aubrey Fritter had 12 assists – and 2 aces.

The girls varsity team now stands at 1 – 0 in the MVL and 2 – 0 overall. Way to go ladies.
