Last year the Dresden United Methodist Church and other area churches came together to host a Pray for Tri-Valley community event just before school reopened after an extended break due to Covid-19 closures. A similar gathering was held on Saturday, August 21 at the Tri-Valley High School this year.
“If we ever needed to pray for our schools, now is the time,” said Dresen UMC Pastor, Dan Wells.

Community members showed up to show support, worship, sing and pray on the school grounds for a safe, healthy and fun school year for all students, families, administrators, teachers and staff. Pastor Wells asked that the congregation continue to pray over the different area schools including the middle school and four elementary schools.
The Adamsville community also gathered for prayer at the Adamsville Elementary School on Sunday, August 22.
The first day of school was Wednesday, August 25 for Tri-Valley Local Schools.
