Tri-Valley Varsity Volleyball Squad Taking No Prisoners On Their Road To The MVL.

The Scottie varsity volleyball team has been putting up some impressive numbers over the past couple of weeks including 5 total wins and 1 loss which is their MVL record so far while their overall record is at 8 – 1.

Saturday, August 28th, the Lady Dawgs headed out to West Holmes High School where they swept their opponents completely with a 3 – 0 set score. Monday the 30th, the girls moved on to Tornadoes territory where they almost had a sweep but ended the match with a 3 – 1 set score. Back to home-court advantage on Tuesday, the 31st when they kept the sweep going with a complete domination of the Rival Lady Generals from Sheridan. The girls took one conference loss in a close 3 – 2 set score against neighboring River View High School. However, when they got back on the road to face the Lady Electrics in Philo they picked back up where they left off and swept the Philo team 3 – 0.

Thursday, September 9th, the Lady Dawgs were finally back on their home court looking for another big win against rivals John Glenn. The ladies dominated the first set with a large lead of 25 – 11. The second set was a much closer battle with the final score seeing the Dawgs take it by two with a score of 27 – 25. And the final set was still a battle with John Glenn putting up an impressive 20 points but the Tri-Valley girls finished them off with a score of 25 – 20. For the game, the top scorers were Lexi Howe with 16 kills and 14 digs. Also stepping up for the game was Elle McLoughlin with 5 kills, 21 assists, 3 digs, and 1 ace.

On Tuesday, September 14th, the ladies hit the road again headed for Maysville to try to keep their MVL takeover going.
