In response to recommendations made by the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department, Ohio Department of Health, and the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Muskingum County Library System (MCLS) requires all visitors (ages 2+), regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask inside all library buildings. Masks are available at all MCLS locations. If you are unable to or do not wish to wear a mask, curbside service and digital content are available.
In collaboration with the local health department, MCLS has been distributing free COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits through our curbside service at all our locations since late March of 2021. From March 2021–August 2021, MCLS distributed 211 COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits. From the beginning of September to September 17, 2021, MCLS has already distributed 3,625 COVID-19 Rapid Tests.
The wellbeing of patrons and staff remains a top priority to MCLS. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate the realities of the COVID-19 Delta Variant.
All Muskingum County Library System locations will remain open to the public at this time.
