Bonnie S. Paynter, 73, died Monday morning, October 4, 2021 at Genesis Hospital.
Born July 20, 1948 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Adelbert and Wally (Feiler) Parks and a 1966 graduate of Jefferson High School. Bonnie was a Methodist by faith and a member of the C.C.L. Group. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, circle words, hot teas, coloring, shopping, giving out baby dolls and enjoyed Harry Potter. Bonnie was a collector, you could find boxes full of ink pens, crayons, socks and beanie babies amongst her treasures. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and dogs.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Jack L. Paynter, whom she married July 29, 1967; three children, Tammy (Tom) Taylor, Brian Paynter and Wendy Gammon; eight grandchildren, T.J., Tristen, Tanner, Tommi, Tora, Kendra, Jordan and Boo; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Parks; a sister, Bev Green; a son-in-law, Mike Gammon and nephew, Tim Parks.
Calling hours were from 6-8pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services were held at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Dresden Chapel with Pastor Dan Wells officiating.
Bonnie was laid to rest at Frazeysburg Cemetery.
