Tri-Valley Varsity Volleyball Continues Acing The Competition

Game after game, coach Leigh Longaberger’s squad of girls are making a name for themselves this season as they blast through game after game, set by set winning their way to the top of the MVL.

On Tuesday, October 5th, the girls faced off against visiting conference challengers the Lady Electrics from Philo. The Tri-Valley girls were not about to be caught “dropping the ball” as they pummeled the Philo girls set after set.

The first set was the most challenging as the Lady Dawgs got used to their opponent’s weaknesses and strengths and then proceeded to use the things they learned to better the visiting team. In set one Tri-Valley came out on top with a set score of 25 -16.

Set two was much more of a catchup game for the Lady Electrics as the Scotties made quick work of the set wrapping up with a 25 – 8 score.

To finish the sweep, the girls bounced right back into action in the third set keeping Philo on their heels as they dominated the court with a final set score of 25 – 12.

With the wrap-up of the game, the Tri-Valley girls now have an overall standing of 16 – 1 and an MVL leading standing of 12 – 1.
