Junior R. “Big Jay” McQuistion, 53, of Dresden, died Saturday afternoon, October 23, 2021 at Altercare of Zanesville.
Born May 2, 1968 in Marion, Ohio a son of the late Russell Junior McQuistion. Jay owned Buckeye Builders for several years and then went on to work at Lepi Enterprise doing construction. He was an artistic woodworker who enjoyed sharing his talents with the community. Jay and Tom offered their time teaching woodworking at the Masonic Temple and their shop in Dresden. Jay appreciated the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman, hunter, coach, golfer and bowler. He was a member of the Sons of The American Legion and a volunteer firefighter and volunteered with the Nightmare in Nashport. Jay loved to karaoke and surprise people with his hidden talent as a grown man to do a full split on the ground.
Surviving are four sons, Jay McQuistion of Zanesville, Nathan McQuistion of Dresden, Jacob and Justin McQuisition of South Carolina; two brothers, James (Brenda) McQuistion of North Carolina and Gary (Joyce) McQuistion of Chicago, IL; three sisters, Teri Jones and Opal Kramer of Newark and Sherry (Eddie) Davis of Hanover; best friend and brother from another mother, Tom Taylor of Trinway and significant other, Tammy Thomas of Dresden.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, P.O. Box 101, Dresden, Oh 43821 to help defray the funeral expenses.

Funeral Service was held at 6:00pm, Friday, October 29, 2021 with Minister Sam Dunn officiating.
