Main Street in Dresden was bustling with roaring Marching Scotties supporters as they made their way home from the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) State Marching Band Finals at Hilliard Bradley High School on Saturday, October 30th. This was Tri-Valley’s 39th consecutive year competing at state.
The band also received a send-off down Ninth Street Saturday afternoon. The Dresden Police Department, Dresden Volunteer Fire Department, and Ford’s Towing escorted the line of busses.
Tri-Valley’s color guard, marching band, and percussion all earned #1 superior ratings. During the first weekend of the four-day competition, 48 out of 71 bands received a superior rating. An additional 54 bands are scheduled to perform this weekend on November 6th at Medina High School and November 7th at Dayton Welcome Stadium. River View, Ridgewood, and John Glenn are among those on the schedule.
Congratulations Tri-Valley Marching Band and Color Guard on another amazing season!
