Two TV School Board Seats Filled in 2021 Election

After the 2021 General Election results on Tuesday, November 2, The Tri-Valley School board will welcome two new members, Dr. Andrea Collet and Luke Davis.

Dr. Andrea Collet graduated from Tri-Valley in 1991. She is the mother of two current Tri-Valley students, one in fifth grade and one in eighth. Dr. Collet is a pediatrician of her own practice in Zanesville.

Luke Davis is a married father of two daughters, a 2019 Tri-Valley graduate and a junior at Tri-Valley High School. He has been a Quality Nutrition Specialist for Abbot Nutrition where he has worked for 27 years. He and his family moved to the area from Columbus because he wanted his kids to attend school in the district. Davis is the voice of the Tri-Valley Swim Team and a member of the soccer and swim boosters.

During the 2021 Tri-Valley Candidate Forum held at the Dresden Municipal Building just days before the election, all three candidates were asked why they were running. Luke answered, “In a nutshell to keep the local school district as good as it is and make it even better.” Andrea said, “I am primarily running because I am concerned about our kids.”

Jason Schaumleffel, a former TV Board Member, was also on the ballot.

There are five board members on Tri-Valley’s Board of Education. Existing members are Susie Cameron, Scott Ford, and Scott Welker. Members Eddie Brock and Martha Prince both finish their term this December.

Tri-Valley School Board meetings are open to the public and are held on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the district office conference room located at 36 East Muskingum Avenue in Dresden.
