Scottie Boys Grabbed Big Win Against Zanesville Blue Devils Before Home Loss To Hilliard Bradley

Going into the Tuesday, December 28th game, the Scotties had an outstanding 6 – 0 record including their most recent win against neighboring rival the Zanesville Blue Devils.

Exactly one week before facing Hilliard Bradley here in Dresden, the Dawgs traveled to Zanesville high school to face their long-time rivals. The boys made quick work showing their opponent the speed that they have been known for as they put up an early lead of 21 – 13.

By the second period of play, Zanesville had gotten their footing and followed the Scotties point for point only dropping four points on the period as the Dawgs closed out the first half up 35 – 23.

After the half Zanesville remained hot on the Dawgs heals as they put up 12 points vs the Scotties 14 for the period, but the boys still had a substantial lead heading into the final period of play as they top the scoreboard at 49 to ZHS’s 35 points.

Zanesville fought hard in the final quarter with hopes to walk away with the win but ultimately they could not close the gap as they fell to the Dawgs whose lead was dwindled down to just 6 points with a final score of TV 63 – ZHS 57.

Jump back to this week, the Dawgs were facing a much bigger school as they stepped back on the court. Showing their strength, the Jaguars took an early 10 point lead before the Dawgs lit up the scoreboard. The boys fought back, but were unable to catch the Jaguars once they were rolling and they took their first loss of the season falling 57 – 21.

Tri-Valley hits the home court again on Tuesday, January 4th, against John Glenn for a conference rival matchup.
