Tri-Valley Swimmers Get Top Marks At Dual Meet

Coach Christi Holmes Scottie swim team has been hard at work and the proof is in the scores from their latest dual meet against Athens, Fairfield Union, John Glenn, and Zanesville on December 29th.

The night started off with a matchup between Tri-Valley and John Glenn’s men’s team as the Scotties dominated the pool with notable first-place finishes by Blaine Cox, Hansel Holmes, Gabe Lentz, Carter Dinan, along with first-place finishes in the boys 200 MR and the boys 200 and 400 relays. Overall the Dawgs outscored John Glenn by a total of 50 – 24.

The women’s team faced off first against Lancaster Fairfield Union and they wasted no time as they put up first place scores by Abri Mallet, Nora Dunn, Jesi Fuhriman, Mia Fuhriman, and Mazie Mallet. The girls also took first in the 200 MR relay, the 200 relay, and the 400 relay. The Lady Dawgs topped Lancaster by a score of 75 – 19.

For the boys the night was a success outscoring Lancaster by a score of 53 – 11, beating Zanesville by a score of 55 – 14, and only falling to The Plains Athens by a score of 67 – 25.

As with the men’s team, the women ended up outscoring Zanesville by a whopping 81 – 9, and swam past The Plains Athens by a score of 71 – 23.

This big win came just one week after Tri-Valley’s dual meet against Groveport Madison, Hebron Lakewood, Newark, and John Glenn where both the boys and girls teams won against every team they placed bringing in some phenomenal scores.
