Culinary Arts Virtual Experience in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with Zane State College Chef Marco Adornetto

The Annual Ethnic Food Fair is one of Zane State College’s most cherished events. Guests who attend this special occasion often return year after year to reunite with friends, enjoy a delicious meal, and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In keeping the safety of our guests as a top priority, we are changing the plan for 2022. In place of a physical gathering, we invite you to a front-row seat in the comfort of your kitchen as you cook alongside Chef Adornetto. This exclusive website will provide recipes and cooking videos created by our culinary arts students. At your own pace, enjoy virtual cooking demonstrations of Soul, Italian, Indian, and German dishes. This virtual culinary experience will be available beginning on Friday, January 14, 2022 at https://www.zanestate.edu. To prepare for this event, you may find a shopping list of ingredients here.

This year’s free event is sponsored by The Energy Cooperative, benefitting the Joyce A. Farmer Smith Memorial Scholarship. The Joyce A. Farmer Smith Memorial Scholarship was established by the Zane State College Foundation to honor Smith’s dedication to the advancement of students of color and her efforts to raise awareness of underserved students. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, estimated financial need, and credit hours completed. This scholarship provides funds to purchase textbooks for Zane State College students. To contribute to this scholarship, donations may be made to The Zane State College Foundation.
