Tri-Valley Swim Team Face Two Tough Teams In Watkins – Granville Dual Meet

On Wednesday, January 12th, at the MCFY the Tri-Valley swim team jumped in the lanes against Granville and Watkins Memorial. In overall team scores, Granville swam away with the top team scores for both men and women for the night.

For the men’s team matchup against Granville, the 200 MR squad consisting of Hansel Holmes, Gabe Lentz, Ethan Ankrom, and Blaine Cox grabbed first place with a time of 1:58.15. Hansel Holmes touched the wall first in the Boys 200 IM with a time of 2:09.19. Carter Dinan swam in at a time of 1:15.51 to seize the top spot in the Boys 100 Back.

When the men went up against Watkins, Hansel Holmes was again able to get first in the Boys 200 IM with a time of 2:09.19 and Ethan Ankrom landed a time of 25.76 in the Boys 50 Free to get top placement. Holmes also finished first in the Boys 100 Free with a time of 52.34. Blaine Cox came in first in the Boys 500 free with a time of 6:03.48.

For the Tri-Valley women facing off against Watkins, the 200 MR team of Pratt, Fuhriman, Mallett, and Fuhriman took first with a time of 2:10.46. Emma Lewis swam past all of the other ladies in the Girls 200 Free to get a time of 2:26.61. Jesi Fuhriman captured first in the Girls 200 IM with a time of 2:39.45. The Girls 50 Free was aced by Abri Mallett with a time of 27.88 and she also grabbed first in the Girls 100 Free with a time of 1:01.42.

Mallett, Pratt, Fuhriman, and Fuhriman gained first position in the Girls 200 Relay with a time of 1:53.10. Emma Pratt swam to first in the Girls 100 Back with a time of 1:12.61. And to round out the heat the team of Stewart, Norman, Dunn, and Mallett took first in the Girls 400 Relay with a time of 4:43.00.
