Dawgs Picking Up More Conference Wins On The Way To The Sheridan Showdown

Still undefeated in conference play, the Scotties are looking to take a second win from big-time rival Sheridan on Friday, January 28th at the Dawg House. On their way to that game, they have been picking up wins left and right including two conference wins and a tough fought win against non-conference Granville Blue Aces.

The Dawgs are currently ranked number 6 in the Division II state rankings and are looking to climb that ladder some more as they take down each challenger. On Friday, January 21st, the boys showed no mercy as they battled it out with conference opponents the Crooksville Ceramics and in a display of power, the Scotties dominated the court with fast-moving shots and overpowering defense, in the end, the Dawgs walked away with another MVL win with a score of 62 – 26.

The next night at the Dawg House, traveling non-conference Granville Blue Aces stepped onto the court to show Tri-Valley how it’s done. It was a very close battle with the Dawgs trying to answer shot for shot against the Aces and in the end, Tri-Valley grabbed the win with a score of 38 – 34.

Back on the road, the boys traveled to West Muskingum to face the Tornadoes in a conference game. The Tornadoes kept within a couple of shots at first but by the middle of the second quarter the Dawgs had a pretty hefty lead and as the game wound into the third and fourth quarters there really was no turning back. At the end of the night, the Scotties put another notch in their conference wins belt as they came home with a 60 – 40 victory over West Muskingum.

Friday, January 28th, MVL rivals the Sheridan Generals will be making their way to Rich Longaberger Court as they face-off against the Dawgs for the second time this season, in December Tri-Valley traveled to Thornville where they put up a very close game against the Generals but walked away with a 55 – 52 win.
