Tri-Valley Girls Take MVL Championship at Coshocton High School Swim Meet

At the MVL Championship meet in Coshocton, on Wednesday, January 26th, the Tri-Valley swim team brought home top honors including a MVL title for girls swimming. In a meet against MVL rivals River View, Crooksville, West Muskingum, Coshocton, Maysville, and John Glenn, Tri-Valley came out on top with a dominating score of 311 overall.

The boys team came in second with a score of 106, beaten only by River View with a score of 158. For the Boys 200 SC Meter Medley Relay the team of Holmes, Cox, Dinan, and Ankrom took second place. In the Boys 200 SC Meter Freestyle Blaine Cox swam in first with a time of 2:12.00. In the Boys 100 SC Meter Butterfly Hansel Holmes grabbed first with a time of 1:01.86. The Boys 400 SC Meter freestyle saw Blaine Cox come in the first position with a time of 4:41.93. The Boys 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay team of Ankrom, Lentz, Cox, and Holmes was able to grasp second place.

The girls team took first place with an outstanding score of 205 with their top competitor coming it at 100. First up for the night was the Tri-Valley Girls 200 SC Meter Relay team of Pratt, Mann, Fuhriman, and Fuhriman took first place with a time of 2:23.07. Abri Mallett took first place in the Girls 200 SC Meter freestyle with a time of 2:30.91 followed by Emma Lewis in second place. Mia Fuhriman and Dani Stewart to second and third places respectively in the Girls 200 SC Meter IM. Jesi Fuhriman took home first place in the Girls 50 SC Meter freestyle with a time of 29.68. Dani Stewart grabbed second place for Tri-Valley in the Girls 100 SC Meter butterfly. Jesi Fuhriman got the top podium spot for the girls 100 SC Meter freestyle with a time of 1:05.83 followed in second by teammate Emma Pratt. Seryna Mann took first place for the Lady Dawgs in the girls 400 SC Meter freestyle with a time of 5:39.60 followed in second by teammate Emma Lewis and in third by teammate Allie Norman. The Girls 200 SC Meter freestyle relay was topped by the Tri-Valley team of Mallett, Pratt, Fuhriman, and Fuhriman with a time of 2:04.42. In the Girls 100 SC Meter backstroke Emma Pratt took top marks with a time of 1:18.73 followed in second place by teammate Nora Dunn. Also in the Girls 100 SC Meter breaststroke Mia Fuhriman was first place with a time of 1:29.81 followed in second place by Mazie Mallett. For the girls final event the Girls 400 SC Meter freestyle relay the team of Mann, Stewart, Dunn, and Mallett took first place with a time of 4:46.96.
