Wednesday Soup Suppers at Frazeysburg United Methodist Church Provides A Warm Meal and Fellowship for Community

The Frazeysburg United Methodist Church (UMC) has been opening its doors to the community for warm free soup suppers during the winter months. This is the church’s third year hosting the event.

Free Community Soup Suppers are every Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
“It’s a great ministry for our church and community, and some of the older folks come in just to sit and have soup with friends and family,” volunteer Brenda Marks commented.

There are six volunteers that run the event at the Frazeysburg UMC. On average they serve about 25 bowls of soup each week. Types of soup vary from week to week and include chili, potato, bean, broccoli, and veggie.

Meals have been offered completely for free without asking for donations. The volunteers explained, “We just want to do something as an outreach for the community.”

The Frazeysburg UMC is located at 87 West 2nd Street in Frazeysburg.
