Lady Dawgs on Road To Grabbing the Whole MVL Title

Despite Thursday’s game results the Tri-Valley girls varsity team will at the very least have a part of the MVL title for this season as they locked that in with their game against Coshocton on Monday, February 7th, here at the Dawg House in Dresden.

The Lady Redskins came to give it their all against Tri-Valley who are undefeated in conference play for the season, but in the end, they went home empty-handed as the Lady Dawgs continue on the road to pick up the coveted MVL title.

Right out of the gate Tri-Valley was outscoring Coshocton at every break grabbing a quick lead with a 12 – 4 score total by the end of the first period. The second period didn’t show any signs of slowing for the Scotties as they sent the Lady Redskins into the halftime locker room down 25 – 17.

After the half, the Lady Dawgs doubled their efforts hitting an awesome 46 points by the end of the third quarter and finishing off the game with a huge 70 – 35 victory against the traveling MVL team.

Lexi Howe had another outstanding night as she broke a 37-year record by getting 35 points for a single game.
