The Tri-Valley varsity wrestling team took third place overall in the MVL tournament on Saturday, February 19th. The team did well mainly due to the great number of podium finishes for the team in the days events. In the 113lb weight class Scottie Rylan Snedeker got third place. For the 120lb weight class Andrew Tacket also made a third-place appearance. Slade Armstrong got fifth place in the 126lb weight class. Scottie senior Isaiah Armstrong continued his outstanding season with a Champion placement in the 144lb weight class. Jake McIntire jumped in second place in the 150lb weight class. Coming in at third in the 157lb weight class was Jason Patterson followed also in third by teammate Jackson Henry in the 165lb weight class. Coleson McCullough stepped onto the third-place podium for the 175lb weight class. For the 190lb weight class Ethan Paladino fought wrestled his way to second place. Emre Sparks made sixth place in the 215lb weight class.
“Not a bad way to wrap up the regular season, but on to the post season” stated Tri-Valley Wrestling coach Jon Hardman.
