Dawgs Take Win Against Philo As They Ramp Up For The Season

After a fairly rough start to the 2022 season losing three of the first four matchups they faced so far, the Dawgs are battling back to get their season back on the right track. Much to that end was the game against Philo on April 4th, which saw veteran pitcher Hansel Holmes throw a near shut-out game, only allowing one run in the first inning.

Following a single run in the top of the first from Philo, Scottie batters Ty Smith and Kelynn Drummond answered back with rbi singles that put the Dawgs up 2 – 1 a score that would remain until the end of the game thanks to a great performance by Holmes with nine strike-outs and a complete game pitched to finish off the Electrics without allowing any other runs.

The Scotties are looking for a much better week of games coming up should weather permit with the next scheduled game to be against visiting West Holmes High School on Friday, April 8th at Kenny Wolford Park in Dresden.
