Jefferson Jayhawks To Be Inducted Into Ohio Basketball Hall Of Fame

On Saturday, April 9th, the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame will be inducting the 1962-63 and 1963-64 Jefferson Jayhawks into the class of 2021 for the hall. For those who don’t know the history of these two teams, they were the first two teams from the Tri-Valley area to win a state championship and they did it both years consecutively. The teams coached by head coach Jack Van Reeth with assistant coach Rich Longaberger (who took over as head coach in 1963) consisted of Jim Ross, Jeff Folks, Dave Kurtz, Jae Stafford, Bill Birkhimer, Wayne McClintock, Harry Roger, PJ Longstreth, Paul Prince, Dean Sarbaugh, Dave Wright, Carl Hains, Paul Lacey, Jeff Longaberger, Gary Lonsinger, Paul Cullins, Larry Miller, Galen Mahon, Dale Prince, Ken Norris, Dave Baughman. The ceremony will begin with the induction of the class of 2020.
