The Dresden Swim Center is turning 29! The center was built in 1993 by the Longaberger Company and purchased by the Village of Dresden in 2014.
The Dresden Swim Center will open for the 2022 summer season on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th. The last day of the season will be Sunday, August 21st.
A few updates have been made to the swim center over the off-season. These updates include a brand new HVAC system and a new roof thanks to a very generous gift of $92,669 from the J.W. & M.H. Straker Charitable Foundation! An upcoming addition of LED lights for the pool are coming soon.
The Dresden Swim Center is not subsidized by the Village of Dresden or village resident tax dollars. It must be self-sustained by the community every season. Thank you for your support of the facility!
New Guaranteed pool hours will be 12:30 – 4:30 pm daily. These hours were set based on attendance trends from the past three years. Hours may be added if/when lifeguard staffing permits. More certified lifeguards equal more daily open hours.
Daily admission for 2022 is $9 per person (children under two are always free). Non-swimmers pay $6 per person. Punch cards are $90 for 12 daily admissions. Family Season Passes are back! Village resident season passes can be purchased for $400 (must prove village residency at time of purchase). Non-resident passes are $500. Five family members are included for both season passes, each additional family member is $50. Increases are due to the rising costs of labor, chemicals, and supplies. The last price increase was in 2016.
New for this year is Advance Group Reservations. These must be arranged at least 24 hours in advance. Groups of 25-49 are $7 per person, groups of 50-99 are $5 per person, and groups of 100 or more are $4 per person.
An early bird sale will be held at the pool on Saturday, April 30 from 10 am to 12 pm. Punch cards will be offered at the 2021 price of $70 on this one day only. Family passes will also be available. After May 1st punch cards will be $90 and available for purchase at the Municipal Building Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. Additional sal dates at the pool may be offered in May.
New party rental options are now available as well. Daytime rental from 2-4 pm (2 hours) for up to 30 guests with use of the upper shelter or the Wolford Room is $125 (additional guests are $4 each). This reservation can be made on any regular admission day. After-hours party rental from 6-8 pm (2 hours) and up to 50 guests with use of the outdoor shelter or Wolford Room is $250 (additional guests are $5 each). Up to four parties will be ongoing at one time. Larger groups can purchase more than one party rental to accommodate guest numbers. After-hours party dates are June 11, 17, and 25, July 1, 16, and 30, and August 6, 12, and 20. Reservations can be made on April 30th at the Early Bird Sale and after May 1st at the Municipal Building, Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm. A signed contract and deposit of $50 for a daytime party and $100 for an after-hours party is required at the time of reservation to hold the date (first-com, first-served). Groups that want to rent the entire facility for a private party will need to purchase four party rental slots.
2022 Group swimming lessons will be $80 for eight 30-minute lessons. There are three levels available. The first session will be June 6-23, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with the second session following from July 5-25 also on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Parent and baby lesson details are coming soon. Private lessons are $160 for eight 30-minute lessons.
