Beautiful Adamsville Memorial Day Service Recognizes Veterans and Honors Fallen Heroes

An annual Memorial Day Service was held in Adamsville on Monday, May 30 at 10:30 am at New Hope Cemetery. The event was hosted by Adamsville Boy Scout Troop 122 and Adamsville Girl Scout Troop 60274.

Special music was performed by local musicians including an amazing rendition of God Bless America sung by Eliza Jane Morrow.

Pastor Pam Lashley of Adamsville United Methodist Church provided the Invocation and Mary Molnar of New Hope Lutheran Church provided the Benediction for the service.

Eight veterans that were in attendance were asked to come forward to be recognized.

The life of MSgt Craig West was honored with a few words by Susan McDonald who also presented flowers to his family. MSgt West was a 2000 Graduate of Tri-Valley High School, an Eagle Scout, and a 2003 Graduate of MATC. While serving in the United States Air Force, he earned several medals and continued his education earning a Community College of the Air Force Associates Degree. At the time of his death, MSgt West was on active duty while home visiting family. He served in the U.S. Air Force for over 18 years.

A Twenty-One Gun Salute was performed by the VFW Dresden Post 11072.

Lunch was served directly after the service by Adamsville Girl Scout Troop 60274.
