Frazeysburg Lions Look Back At Busy Month of May

Lions Attend State Convention May 20-22, Present Grants to two Tri-Valley Graduates May 24

Frazeysburg Lions Club President Jeff Garver and Secretary / Treasurer Dan Osborn and Tail Twister Earl Paazig attended the 102nd Ohio State Convention at the DoubleTree Hotel Columbus on May 20 – 22, 2022. On Friday, Dan and Earl represented District OH-7 at their state committee meetings with the other 6 districts. At the Friday night dinner, Lions International 1st Vice President Brain and Lion Lori Sheehan from Bird Island, Minnesota were introduced. They have been all over the world seeing Lions do “We Serve” projects. This July he will become President of Lions International at the Montreal Canada International Convention. Saturday morning was full of the general business sessions and training. Supplies were brought in to be sent to Kentucky Lions to help with their areas that were hit with storms this spring. Lion Lori Sheehan spoke at the MD 13 awards and luncheon. The Grand Banquet was at 6:30 p.m. with 1st Vice President Brain’s speech on serving in your community and ways to get more members into your clubs. At the evening banquet more awards were passed out. Lion Dan was given a W. R. Bryan Fellow plaque and pin from MD- in recognition of work he has done on the district and multiple district levels. MD 13 submitted $500.00 in his name to W. R. Bryan Diabetic Eye Disease Research fund under the Ohio Lions Eye Research Foundation

At the Tri-Valley Senior Awards night May 24, President Jeff Garver presented the Frazeysburg Lions Education Grants to Caiden Kinneer and Rachel Meadows.
