Announcing 2022 Dresden Homecoming Grand Marshals, Queen and Court

Julie and Scott Ford have been selected as the 2022 Dresden Homecoming Grand Marshals!

Julie was born and raised in Dresden and has lived here all her life. She married Scott Ford on July 6, 2002. She recently retired in January from the Dresden United Methodist Church after 30 years of service. Julie was a member of the Dresden Fire Department with 10 years of service as an EMT. She has five adult children – Justin Rodgers, Jody Rodgers, Jil Rodgers, Cole Ford and Nick Ford. Also two granddaughters, Emersyn Gatewood and Elise Ford. Together Julie and Scott own Ford’s Towing LLC here in Dresden.

“The Dresden Homecoming has been a big part of my life from enjoying it as a child, to helping fry waffles, to making Lemon Shake-Ups with the Jr. Legion Auxiliary, to working in the Legion food stand, to helping with homecoming tear down. Thank you to the Homecoming Committee, Jeff Garver, Francis Holzschuher, Roxanne Hutchison, Rich Stafford, and others for selecting us to represent Dresden as the Grand Marshals of the 2022 Dresden Homecoming Parade,” said Julie.

Scott was born and raised in Zanesville, and moved to Dresden in 1995 to get his small boys in TV schools. He is a US Army Paratrooper VET and is retired from the Zanesville Fire Department. He married Julie Ford on July 6, 2022. Scott and Julie started Ford’s Towing back up in 2010 and are proud community residents of Dresden.

“I love the small-town life Dresden represents and we love helping out the community wherever we can. I want to thank the Dresden Homecoming Committee for the honor and privilege of being Grand Marshals! Julie and I both strive to give back whenever and wherever we can and this community is full of people who like to do the same!” said Scott.
