Both the Dresden Swim Center and the Frazeysburg Pool were open free of charge on Thursday, June 30 thanks to the generosity of the JW & MH Straker Charitable Foundation.
“The weather is headed up into the 90s again this Thursday, and the Straker Foundation wants to help provide a way for everyone to beat the heat,” the foundation said in a Facebook post made earlier that week.
The foundation also sponsored a free swim day for two other Muskingum County pools, the Harrison Township Pool and the New Concord Pool as well as the Roseville Splash Pad.
