Denny W. Wilcox, 71, of Dresden, died Saturday evening, July 30, 2022 at his home in Dresden.
Born October 8, 1950 in Zanesville, a son of Mary Phyllis (Lippincott) Wilcox and the late Robert Wilcox. Denny was a 1969 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church. He retired after 38 years from AEP as an environmental supervisor. Denny was a volunteer fireman for 47 years with the Dresden Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving is his mother, Phyllis Wilcox; his wife of 51 years, Connie Coon Wilcox; two daughters, Mandie Wilcox- Belcher and Tina (Mike Murphy) Wilcox; three grandchildren, Kalie (Bubba Travis) Belcher, Steele Rose and Olivia Jordan “Peanut” Murphy; three great-grandchildren, Camden “Boney Butt”, Brice “Tank” and Lyric “Blonde Bomber”; five siblings, Tim (Christy) Wilcox, Kenny Wilcox, Amy (Linda Lego) Wilcox, Nancy (Dave Blankenship) Christman and Mindy (Bill) Maslowski; special grandchildren, Hunter, Ethan and Ally Edwards and Hunter and Hailey Rose; his friends and family at the Dresden Fire Department and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, his was preceded in death by a grandson, Mytchal Belcher; two brothers, Gary and Jeff Wilcox and an infant sister, Mary Wilcox.
Friends and family may call from 2-4pm and 6-8pm Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil and Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden, Oh 43821.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30am Friday, August 5, 2022 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 405 Chestnut Street, Dresden, Ohio 43821 with Reverend Father Ryan Schmit celebrating.
Denny will be laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery.
