Lady Dawgs Soccer Kicking Up The Heat Headed Into Regular Season Play

On Wednesday, August 10th at Kenny Wolford Park in Dresden, coach Emily Reilly’s Scotties girls varsity team took to the field in a scrimmage against visiting Heath High School.

It was an impressive showing that displayed definite potential for the season as the girls battled with the Lady Bulldogs maintaining possession of the ball for a majority of the game. They started the first half with the Heath team trying to take back possession and gaining control of the ball just long enough to score two goals before the half, but the Scotties out played them and landed three goals of their own to take the lead into the break.

After halftime the Scottie girls came back out on the field to finish the job landing another three goals. Heath tried to fight back defensively and even pulled off one more goal but it was not enough as the Lady Dawgs wrapped up the win with a 6 – 3 score. Maddie Garber scored three goals for Tri-Valley as well as one goal scored respectively by Lexi Klotzbach, Nevaeh Peffers, and Katie Davis.

The next game for the girls is Tuesday, August 16th, against Watkins Memorial at home in Kenny Wolford Park starting at 5:30pm.
