Patricia M. Wortman Harris, 81, of Adamsville, passed away Monday afternoon, August 22, 2022 at Genesis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Zanesville, Ohio on May 12, 1941, a daughter of the late W. B. and Frances (Ketchum) Wortman. Patty worked in the cafeteria at Adamsville Elementary School for over 20 years. She enjoyed her card club and their floats in the Adamsville Homecoming parade, cooking and baking. She won many ribbons for her cookies at the Muskingum County Fair. Patty enjoyed her flower beds and watching the birds on her bird feeder. In her later years she enjoyed holding down her big brown chair and her favorite saying was “I don’t give a rat’s ass”.
Surviving are her children, James (Lisa) Harris, Teresa Perdue, Rusty (Julie) Harris, Randy (Bobbie) Harris and Marsha Schluessler (Bill Kohler); fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Charlotte Wortman and a sister-in-law, Arlene Wortman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walton “Walt” Forest Harris, who she married August 23, 1958 and died March 1, 2021; an infant son, Michael Harris; two brothers, Bernie and Tom Wortman and a great grandson Maxxen Schluessler.
Friends and family may call from 5pm to 8pm, Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil and Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden. A celebration of life and burial will be held at a later date.
