Scotties Boys Varsity Soccer Trying To Get Their Road Game On Track

So far this season the boys have had three games, two losses on the road, and a big win against Heath on their home field.

On Thursday, August 18th, the boys traveled to Northridge High School for a varsity-only game. The team played hard but they suffered a shutout loss of 3 – 0 despite the effort.

Keeping their heads up the boys brought all kinds of energy to their home matchup against Heath High School on Saturday, August 20th. The Scotties were fired up for the game which they dedicated to Senior Teammate Truman Tarbert who suffered a season-ending injury in the previous game against Northridge. Right out of the gate the boys took over the ball without signs of letting up, landing a whopping five goals in the first half of the game. In the second half of the game Heath tried to step up their defense and kept the Scotties to only one point to match their own score for the half but the damage was done with the Dawgs taking home the 6 – 2 victory.

Sam Schott led the scoring with four goals, Gael Oseguera and Lucas Cameron each added an additional point. Assists were covered by Devin Watts, Gael Oseguera, and Nathan Hustey. Cam Wickerham had 10 saves for the game and Freshman Owen Harney grabbed his first varsity save for the team.
