Coach Emily Reilly’s Lady Dawgs squad is kicking it into high gear as they start off the regular season with a 1-1-1 record currently.
The season started off rough with a 5 – 0 shutout loss to the visiting Watkins Memorial girls on Tuesday, August 16th. The girls were able to recover when they visited rival Sheridan on Monday, August 22nd where they took a 3 – 0 shutout win of their own.
On Wednesday the 24th, the girls came back home to face another local rival, the John Glenn Lil Muskies. The teams were evenly matched up, but Tri-Valley took the early lead with a goal in the first half by Lexi Klotzbach with Ally Barclay on the assist. The girls held the lead all the way to the 20-minute remaining mark when John Glenn was able to tie it up, and that is where the scoring stalled as the two teams took a tie for the matchup.
Allison Yingling had seven saves for the Lady Dawgs.
