Ohio Village Muffins Win 1860s Base Ball Game At Historic Prospect Place

The Ohio Village Muffins took on Trinway/Canal Dover Redlegs in an 1860s-style base ball game (yes, baseball was spelled with two words back then). The Muffins made a comeback from last year’s game with a final score of 21 to Trinway/Canal Dover’s 14.

The game was played using 1860s rules including catching the ball bare-handed.

Historic Prospect Place hosted the game which took place in the afternoon on Sunday, September 25 on the front lawn of the mansion in Trinway. This was the third vintage base ball game held at the mansion. This annual event is always held in September.
