I was exposed to covid so on Tuesday, November 8th I had a test. I was isolated for several days waiting for the results, so Praise The Lord it was negative! So I did not have to sanitize or wash items and happy to notify people that I was not contagious!
One of the joys of living back in Muskingum County, Ohio after living in Holmes County, Licking County and Texas, is seeing people I haven’t seen for years. My daughter Jenny and I were eating at Cracker Barrel in Zanesville, Ohio and talked to Chuck Williams who brought logs to Smith Hardwoods at Gratiot, Licking County, years ago. Chucks login’ days are over and is now a Singer, Songwriter and Storyteller.
I talked to two hunters at McDonalds in Dresden last week. It was bow season, so brought memories of when I hunted here in Ohio. Two of my successful hunts were trophy mounts with antlers proudly mounted. John Kelley of Outreach for Youth in Pataskala, Ohio was hunting with us one year and was planning on getting a ‘trophy deer’ and giving it to the Directors, Victor and Margie Maldonado. John did not get a deer so I gave my largest trophy mounted antlers to them. Years later I believe they gave it to a friend in Mexico. My other mounted deer head was sold at my auction in Texas in May, 2021.
Some people seem to think of God as a kind of “spare tire”. A spare tire is forgotten for months until suddenly, on the road, we have a flat. Many forget God when things go well with them. When sorrow, sickness, and troubles come, then they remember God and want Him to help them. He wants us to call on Him when we are in trouble. He also wants us to remember and serve Him when we are not in trouble………. W. B. Knight
