Tri-Valley Swimmers Take Second In Large Home Meet

On Wednesday, December 14th, the Scotties swim team took to the pool for a dual meet featuring five area teams facing off in 22 swimming events. Overall Dresden took home second place with losing the first place spot to visiting Granville.

The Tri-Valley girls team took second place in the girls 200 yard medley relay which was the first event of the evening. The team of Dani Stewart, Mazie Mallet, Sarah Jacoby, and Abri Mallet swam in at a time of 2:10.85

Tri-Valley also took second place in the boys 200 yard medley relay with the team of AJ Lawler, Owen Harney, Gabe Lentz, and Aiden Lentz seizing a time of 2:06.86.

For the boys 200 yard freestyle AJ Lawler grasped first place for the dawgs swim squad with a time of 1:59.45.

Gabe Lentz and Owen Harney took second and third place respectively on the boys 200 yard IM for the mens team.

Likewise, Jesi Fuhriman took second on the girls 50 yard freestyle. AJ Lawler took second in the boys 100 yard butterfly for event 10 of the evening. Jesi came back in event 11 for the girls 100 yard freestyle to get top ranking with a time of 59.74.

Sarah Jacoby grabbed second place in the girls 500 yard freestyle, and joined her teammates Abri Mallet, Mia Fuhriman, and Jesi Fuhriman for a second place finish in the girls 200 yard freestyle relay.

Abri Mallet and Dani Stewart took second and third place respectively in the girls 100 yard backstroke, while Stewart joined the team of Jesi Fuhriman, Emma Lewis, and Mia Fuhriman to take second in the girls 400 yard freestyle relay.

In the final event for the evening, the boys team took second place to Granville in the boys 400 yard freestyle relay with a team of Jack Morehouse, Caden Blake, Isaac Lanning, and Caleb Apple.

The Scotties swimmers move on this weekend to the MVHS 14th Annual Small Schools Invitational in Gambier, Ohio.
