McCoy Crossing in Dresden, on Dave Longaberger Avenue, is home to the newest Shriver Pharmacy & Wellness location. The store had its official ribbon cutting on Monday, January 9th to a crowd of supporters and Dresden Village officials.
For years, customers in the Dresden and Frazeysburg areas have been able to go to one of the two pharmacies in the two towns run by local people and have been able to rely on Scott and Eric Lawler as their local pharmacists. The two individual stores may have closed their doors, but customers in the area can still count on seeing Scott and Eric Lawler at the local Shriver Pharmacy, still dealing with the same local people that they are used to.
The Lawlers were open to the idea of a new Shrivers Pharmacy opening here and were looking forward to being able to help their current customers in new and expanding ways.
The Pharmacy offers vaccinations, a compounding lab to custom cater medications based off of a specific customer’s needs, managed medical therapies, nutraceuticals, and also gifts from the area including items from Dresden & Company as well as others.
Along with all of the new expanded possibilities at Shrivers, they also offer free delivery to the Dresden and Frazeysburg areas so that customers don’t have to travel out of their way to deal with the same local folks they have been accustomed to. The new location marks the ninth store to open in the area for Shrivers who started just south of Muskingum County.
The very first Shrivers Pharmacy was opened by Jon (Randy) Shrivers in 1979 in McConnelsville, Ohio. Since then they have been growing and expanding their services to where they now serve Southeastern Ohio and West Virginia.
Shrivers remains independently owned by John Coler and locally operated. They are dedicated to the communities that they serve. The pharmacies are official partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters and sponsor many local little league teams.
“We care a whole lot about giving back to our communities” stated Jessica Sabine, Chief Marketing Officer for Shrivers.
Each of the Shrivers locations offers a complete line of home medical equipment that will be completely set up in a patient’s home, where they will educate the patient and family on the proper use by their well-trained service professionals.
