Shortly after my husband Larry and I moved to Millersburg, Ohio in 1963 I had a temporary job at the License Bureau. Back then everyone renewed their plate fees once a year in January. A man reported to me that he was a Mason. I asked him to tell me his occupation, not the organization. He laughed and said a Mason laid blocks or bricks to build with. Larry laughed also when I told him what I had learned because sometimes he was a Mason.
The service at Northgate Church Dresden on Sunday, February 19th was ‘better felt than telt’, an expression my husband Larry would say. Have y’all heard about the ‘move of God’ at Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky? They are feeling God’s Presence and telling about it also.
The devotional reading on February 20th was ‘Daydreaming about something in order to do it properly is right, but daydreaming about it when we should be doing it is wrong’. I am guilty of daydreaming and not doing it and call it procrastination. Don’t daydream! Just Do It!
Wasn’t the Indy 500 Race exciting? I watched it at my daughter Jenny’s on a BIG screen. Shortly after we started dating Larry took me to a stock car race on a dirt track here in Ohio where he raced and won! He also won my heart! Many people were concerned about who would win the race because there were bets. Wouldn’t it be great if people were concerned about where they will spend eternity?
