Princess Sarah Culberson, the CommUNITYread 2023 Author, to Speak in Zanesville

Zanesville, OH – The Muskingum County Library System is proud to announce that Sarah Culberson, author of A Princess Found will speak at the Secrest Auditorium on March 23, 2023, at 9:30 AM. The event is free and open to the public.

A Princess Found chronicles Sarah’s incredible journey of discovering her connection to her birth father and her subsequent discovery that she is a princess in his home country of Sierra Leone. Sarah has become an advocate for her father’s country, co-founding Sierra Leone Rising, a foundation that supports education and infrastructure needs in Sierra Leone.

Sarah’s story is a remarkable testament to the power of love and determination. Despite being raised in a
loving adoptive family in West Virginia, Sarah was determined to learn more about her roots and, in doing so, discovered a deep connection to a country that had long been ravaged by civil war.
During her talk, Sarah will distribute awards to winners of the Mary Helen Straker Award in Writing, a
competition encouraging young people to develop their writing skills. She will also announce the grand prize winner of that competition.

All MCLS locations will be hosting book discussions about A Princess Found throughout February, alongside free copies of the book for the first 350 people who visit.

“We are thrilled to welcome Princess Sarah to Zanesville and to have the opportunity to share her inspiring story with our community,” said Sean Fennell, Marketing & Community Relations Director of the Muskingum County Library System. “We hope that her talk will encourage everyone to embrace their unique journeys and to celebrate the power of resilience and determination.”
