On Saturday, April 8th, the Adamsville Boy Scout Troop 122 welcomed four young men to the rank of Eagle Scout under the direction of Scoutmaster Rick Cooper. This is the 33rd year of Hubbard Lodge chartering the Troop. Bill & Sue Reed attended the Court of Honor held at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, representing the lodge, along with many friends and family of the Eagles. Dinner was held after the Court of Honor Ceremony and slideshow.
The scouts inducted into the Eagle rank were:
Preston Ferrell is a senior at Maysville High School and Mid-East Zanesville. Ferrell has joined the U.S. Army and leaves for boot camp in early June 2023.
Aaron McConnell is a sophomore at Tri-Valley High School, and is also active in archery, 4-H and Tri-Valley FFA, he plans to join the Air Force and be an ODNR wildlife officer.
Jack McDonald is a sophomore at Tri-Valley High School and is active in archery, 4-H and Tri-Valley FFA. Jack works at Muskingum Livestock Auction and wants to be a beef farmer.
Eli McDonald is a sophomore at Tri-Valley High School and is active in Track and Field, 4-H and Tri-Valley FFA. He works for several neighbors and raises goats. Eli wants to go into Ag/Diesel Mechanics and Real Estate.
“Getting these boys to Eagle rank has been a lot of work for many years and much enjoyment to watch the boys grow and mature in their leadership and citizenship abilities.” stated Scoutmaster Rick Cooper. He encouraged them to continue to follow the Scout Law and Oath in the years to come and hopes they are Scout leaders one day.
