Committee Formed to Address Commuting Safety Concerns for Students

The Village of Frazeysbug in conjunction with Tri-Valley Local Schools has initiated grant funding with the Ohio Department of Transportation to help students in Frazeysburg and Dresden have “Safe Routes to School”.

With the traffic on 3rd Street in Frazeysburg and students that are commuting to the Elementary School to attend classes or catch their bus, Frazeysburg Village sees the need for sidewalks and assistance with funding the project.

In Dresden, there are concerns with safely crossing near the football field for the High School. This grant can help fix these and any other potential concerns raised.
We need parents, PTO, and community input on what you see as safety concerns. The first step in the process of applying for funding is forming a committee to discuss problems faced by students commuting.

The contact person for the committee will be Natalie Stillon Grable, Fiscal Officer for the Village of Frazeysburg. She can be reached by email at fiscalofficer@frazeysburg.gov or call her direct line at 740-828-9575 with questions, concerns, or interest in being on the committee by May 1, 2023.
