New Tri-Valley Administrative Center Completed

by Katelyn Dotson

On Thursday, April 6, an open house was held in the brand-new Tri-Valley Administrative Center to commemorate its recent establishment.

The building has an area of 8,800 square feet, providing plenty of useful space for the fourteen district office staff members who work in the building. A new boardroom has been added which can hold up to forty-nine people. In addition, a breakroom is provided allowing staff to enjoy a meal there as opposed to eating in the boardroom or their respective offices. Among the various other spaces, there are two new restrooms, in the previous building there was only one on each floor. Another room that has been added is the treasurer’s department storage room, which the old building housed as well however, it resided in the basement that had problems with leaking water.

Along with new and improved rooms, the fresh Tri-Valley Administrative Center has been updated with new furniture and equipment. Brand new computers have been added along with two smartboards in the executive meeting room. Occupying the updated building are the Tech Department, HR, Superintendent and assistants, Special Ed, School Psychologists and Special Ed assistants, Operations Department, and Treasurers Department. Previous to the development of the new building, the school Psychologists were placed in the Elementary School, as well as the Special Ed assistants.

There was no need for new school levies to pay for the new center. The school is in good financial standing and has not had to ask for new levies since 1987

Since an improved Administrative Center has been constructed, the previous one will be taken down and in its place, a water detention pond for rain run-off and drainage will be installed.
