The Winter Guard State Championship took place on April 1 in the city of Wapakoneta, Ohio. Both JV and Varsity Tri-Valley Winter Guard teams competed. The Junior Varsity show was called “Body Shop”. To match the theme, team members dressed in jump suits and used Route 66 flags. The Varsity show was titled “Faded Colours”, which carried a meaningful message of honoring friends and family members who have passed away. The show had an ending quote of “Although the colors may fade, our memories shine brighter, our love may be deeper, and our lives will be fuller because we shared this moment together.”
After facing off in the OIPA Scholastic Regional AA class, the Junior Varsity team took first place with a season high score of 78.52.
