Wolford’s Roadside Market Now Open in Frazeysburg

A new family business, Wolford’s Roadside Market recently opened its doors and is offering fresh produce, a salad bar, meats and cheeses in their deli, and a variety of breakfast and lunch items from their menu.

The market is owned by Chris and Felisha Wolford who celebrated 20 years of marriage in April and were both raised in Frazeysburg. Their three children, Falon (17), Cydnee (16), and Camdyn (9) who all attend Tri-Valley schools also help with the family business.

Growing up close to their grandparents, the Wolfords have made it part of their mission to focus on providing a quality market that serves all in the community but also gives back to seniors in the area. Wolford’s Roadside Market’s fresh produce and reasonably priced menu both aid in their mission. Plus by being open in the mornings, it provides a place for the older generation to come, gather and grab a good meal.

“It’s about giving back to the older generation, we owe a lot to our grandparents, and it’s about supporting local. If we can provide as good or better than bigger stores that’s what we want to do!” said Chris.

Everything in the market is either homegrown or natural and sourced locally when possible. The market sells Dutch Valley meats and cheeses, and the non-deli meats are from Olde Village Meats in Frazeysburg. Some menu items that you can expect include all the breakfast favorites like eggs and omelets, homefries, pancakes, french toast, breakfast meats, and sausage gravy and biscuits. For lunch, there are burgers, grilled cheese, fishtail, cube steak, deli sandwiches, hot dogs, and more. Dinners like hamburger steak, shrimp basket, pork chop, and pasta entrees are also listed.

Having the market at its location has quite a bit of meaning to the family. The property that the market is on has been in the family for many years. It was a truck stop owned by Felisha’s grandmother. Felisha is also the owner and Nurse Practitioner at the Village Medical Center which also recently opened this year. Chris owns an excavating company in the area as well.

Wolford’s Roadside Market is located at 266 W. 3rd St., Frazeysburg, and is open Monday through Friday 6 am-2 pm. You can reach them at (740) 828-6161 or find them on Facebook.
