First Time In School History, Star Tri-Valley Wrestlers Headed To National Championship

For the first time in Tri-Valley High School history, two of the school’s star wrestlers Kandice Spry and Logan McClellan will be traveling to Fargo, North Dakota to compete for a national championship.

Spry has had an illustrious career since her start in 5th grade culminating in a middle school wrestling career that was capped with a state championship win.

Starting in high school wrestling as a freshman this year she had the honor of being a member of the first OHSAA official girls’ wrestling team for Tri-Valley and fell just shy of making it into the regional championship for Tri-Valley this season but came back the next day to train for the freestyle all American and worked her way all the way onto the 16u Ohio National Team along with TV teammate Logan McClellan. The two will be wrestling in the National Championships in July.

Visit the Tri-Valley Wrestling Facebook page to see how you can help with the necessary supplies to send these two to Fargo.
